2x Buyer

A leading multi-national manufacturing business are currently recruiting for 2X Buyer & 1X Senior Project Buyer based in Cheltenham (hybrid working) on a fulltime permanent basis.

The 2X Buyer roles will be responsible for the operational activities surrounding the purchasing function on MRP system for all suppliers. They will solely be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and relationship management including cost reduction activities, improvements in quality, on-time delivery, supplier management and development.

The Senior Project Buyer will be responsible for managing new product development/introduction requirements and controls of the purchasing module on the ERP/MRP system, supplier selection, management of sub-contract work package, development of a competitive supplier base focussed on cost reduction. Understanding and interpreting engineering requirements working with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders.

Key skills and experience required for the 2X Buyer & 1X Senior Project Buyer job applicant and not limited to:

- Proven experience within a Procurement role, manufacturing background is preferred
- Good working knowledge of ERP/MRP system
- A high level of commercial awareness
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
