**Job Introduction**

The Senior Internal Control Specialist will be the main liaison between the Head of Internal Control and the other members of the Internal Control team ensuring team deliverables are met including planning of assignments and reporting results of reviews.

**Main Responsibilities**
- Verify the adequacy of design of the controls in the business with key stakeholders/control owners (Business Self
- Assessment process)
- Liaising with key stakeholders/control owners to process deviations from ICS prescribed controls and developing action plans for control gaps
- Providing key stakeholders / control owners with the information they need to be compliant with Internal Controls across all departments through raising awareness in coaching sessions in a team or one-to-one environment. This will include (but is not limitedto) the Group’s InControl Standards
- Carry out reviews to assess the effectiveness of control execution both via reviews of 1st line attestations (Control Certification) and routine, cyclical on site compliance reviews where required
- Carry out new Manager inductions for new starters covering high level controls / compliance related requirements where required
- Support implementation of new Group control standards and associated systems/training
- Manage reporting suites relating to training and reviews
- Ensuring training material is kept up to date and is accessible to key stakeholders / control owners
- Carry out ad-hoc, deep dive, controls related reviews where required
- Facilitate the process for ensuring policies and procedures are aligned to control requirements
- Provide support to Internal and External Auditors where required
- Manage team members on a day-to-day basis including planning of assignments
- Ability to work both remotely and as part of a team
- Ability to communicate appropriately at all levels with internal customers in a professional manner
- Strong attention to detail
- A strong understanding of controls related processes and ability to identify areas of risk and provide support to address
- Forward thinking / ability to take initiative / proactively identifying opportunities for control improvements
- Ability to lead discussions and debates with intention of making and communicating decision in a comprehensive manner
- Ability to manage team, meet deadlines and achieve desired outcomes
