**What is the purpose of the role?**

The Control Room SCADA/Flow Controller is responsible for ensuring the flow of materials through the warehouse. This requires monitoring material flows in the automation system through visualisation tools and SCADA to ensure flow rate KPIs are met.

The Flow Controller will identify issues and facilitate resolution in conjunction with the site Engineering Team, escalating issues where necessary.

The Control Room Flow Controller is expected to operate as team member and oversee automation driven tasks in all areas of the warehouse. They will have designated responsibilities as below:

- Manage and monitor Automation visualisation tools and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) system
- Knowledge of all key issues currently open (system outages or current workarounds)
- Responsible for the collection, reporting and feedback regarding all open incidents and ongoing issues with equipment
- Investigating and analysing the location of any faults and underperforming areas of the automation.
- Producing daily/weekly KPI reports
- Adhere to any operational requests that sit within the Technician role
- Escalate through the appropriate channels all automation issues providing required supporting detail
- Escalate immediately to Control Room Manager any issue that could significantly impact the business
- Communicate daily with the leadership team to understand daily objectives
- Communicate daily with the Maintenance and Engineering Team and communicate issues clearly
- Ability to work with all levels of management, and other departments
- Facilitate resolution of issues that are agreed (Blockages, Estop resets etc)
- Raise tickets for incorrect system behaviour with sufficient information to investigate
- Ability to work with all levels of management, and other departments
- Other duties as required and assigned
- Be proactive in spotting any future situations/risks that may arise
- Collecting sufficient level of information and updating handovers for next shift
- Within the company rules and guidelines, operate the CCTV system to ascertain any current or potential issues within the operation
