The Central Neurodevelopmental Team (Conwy and Denbighshire) offers comprehensive neurodevelopmental assessment and a personal profile, outlining strengths and needs, and diagnosis, if appropriate, along with developing the service for the future to provide a variety of interventions through group work and bespoke individual interventions. To enable the team to continue to deliver to its full capacity, a vacancy for a band 4 Assistant Psychologist has become available.
The team is a relatively new team and has developed some innovative practices which have been recognised as good practice, nationally. Although this is the case, we strive to continue to develop and improve, and therefore, applicants should also be keen to share the desire for continuous service improvement, and developing high quality care.
To assist in the provision of a psychological service to clients within the specialty under the direction of the supervising clinical psychologist.
To be responsible for the planning and prioritisation of own workload and activities following the direction and guidelines given by the supervising clinical psychologist.
To undertake assessments of clients and implement programmes of care or intervention following guidance from the supervising clinical psychologist.
To undertake research activities as required and directed by the supervising clinical psychologist.
To work within guidelines given by the supervising clinical psychologist.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
