UX Developer
CGI are currently looking for a UX Developer to come and join our Secure Innovation & Advisory team which is part of CGI’s Space, Defence and Intelligence business unit. The area is focused primarily on the delivery of contemporary and innovative technicalsolutions for the government agencies most challenging problems. Our teams work alongside our clients to help them understand how to exploit technologies to maintain competitive advantage. Your future duties and responsibilities
- Transition the prototypes to technical design
- Test components and pages against accessibility standards and fix accessibility issues identified through testing
- Write, adapt, maintain and support code continually improve the service with new tools and techniques
- Take responsibility for and advises on the technical feasibility of designs
- Design interfaces that are responsive in design.
- Create frameworks for implementing design principles
- Take on more complex design or customer situations
- Support and mentor less experienced colleagues
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
- Developer skills - technical feasibility: how much time and effort it will take to develop, e.g HTML, CSS, javaScript
- Create working code prototypes, create reusable, scalable components
- Understand the advantages and disadvantages of prototyping interface designs and technical approaches. Applies technical knowledge and experience to help evaluate prototypes
- Understanding and awareness of Accessibility, e.g. WCAG2.x
Security Clearance: Must be UK national - and either hold, or willing to gain higher level Security Cleared (SC).
Working pattern: due to the secure nature of the work we are operating with a hybrid working policy. We would expect our members to be in their local office as and when required. Some travel to other CGI or client sites might be required (all travel away fromyour base office is expensed)
