**The role**
This is a hybrid working role (Minimum two days in the office) which can be based from our offices in Farringdon or Sittingbourne.
Reporting to the Head of Governance & Regulation, you will provide effective and efficient governance support.

**What you’ll be doing **
- Accountable for supporting Southern Housing’s subsidiary Boards and Committees including arranging meetings, agenda planning, writing reports, collation and distribution of papers
- Maintain the Governance Team system, files and records, ensuring that these are up to date and kept securely
- Support the Head of Governance to manage the programme of succession and recruitment of Board and Committee members
- Assist the Director of Governance & Regulation with the induction and training of new Board and Committee members
- Assist with the annual collective appraisals and effectiveness reports for the Board and all Committees, producing surveys and writing reports
- Provide support and be accountable for governance projects and tasks including preparing for regulatory visits.

**What you’ll need**
**Knowledge & Experience**
- Good administrative experience gained in a highly regulated environment.
- Experience of dealing with confidential information.
Desirable
- Strong communication and networking skills
- Experience of working in a regulated governance environment.
**Skills**
- Strong PC skills including MS Office Suite
- Excellent organisation and communication skills
- Able to work under pressure and to tight legislative deadlines
- Excellent minute taking
- Report writing skills including drafting policies and procedures
