**Overview**

The role is a build and post-build M&E Project Manager with a strong focus on HVAC. Commercial building experience (not domestic) is critical. This role will oversee the construction and fit-out of the facility, ensuring that the work is completed on timeand in the budget set out (working with Finance). It will manage contractors and ensure compliance with regulations and contract specification. The role encompasses the design, installation and maintenance of essential services and equipment found in the facility.The most critical aspect is a strong understanding of HVAC (Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning); also important are water, gas and electricity supplies, and lighting

**Job Specific**
- Project manage all build and post-build activities
- Liaise and communicate between the business and construction sides
- Manage contractors (tendering and quotes, progress reviews and performance management, working to deadlines, working to contract spec, regulations, working to budget)
- Reviewing engineering design and assessing project constraints
- Attending design team/site meetings as and when required and providing input on M&E issues
- Updating progress reports and M&E project fit-out
- Working with Finance on costs and timelines (to feed into company budget)
- Manage all technical elements of the fit out - most critical element is HVAC
- Management and project reporting of all contractual and commercial aspects in relation to MEP

**Knowledge**:

- Background in commercial buildings (not domestic)
- Qualifications: HNC (Engineering background) and CIBSE (consideration also to similar Engineering backgrounds)
- Strong understanding of Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC); preferably City & Guilds 2079 Holder
- Strong understanding of civils work
- Understanding of Health & Safety: Health & Safety at Work Act 1974, Electricity at Work Act 1989, CDM 2015, SSSTS qualification
- Understanding of the GMP regulations helpful
