Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our team as a Kitchen Assistant. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our culinary team in food preparation and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in the hospitality industry and looking to gain experience in a professional kitchen setting.
Main Duties:
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, and assembling dishes
- Follow all health and safety guidelines in food handling and preparation
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager or Chef.
Other Duties may include:
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchen utensils
- Assist with receiving and storing food supplies
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience in a pub, hotel, restaurant or other form of professional kitchen is desirable.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Please note that all positions at our company are paid positions. We value the contributions of our employees and believe in fair compensation for their work.
You will need to live within a walkiable distance, be able to drive or have another means of getting to a from work for varable hours includint evenings and weekends. There is no public transport close to the venue.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £9.00-£12.50 per hour
Expected hours: 16 - 25 per week
