FTE Salary: £25758 to £27690 (pro rate £12879 to £13,845.50 if Job Share)

Staff are able to work agile from home for part of the week once they are proficient in the role, but this must fit with the operational needs of the department and force policy requirements.
You will be called upon to work alongside the Senior Payroll Officers to deliver an efficient and effective customer focused payroll function, ensuring an appropriate and responsive service which complies with HMRC, Pension Regulations, Force Policy, Force Objectives and stringent deadlines.
This is a varied, busy and demanding role which requires excellent customer service, organisational, time management and administration skills. You will play a key part in promoting West Yorkshire Police therefore a personable, helpful and friendly manner is crucial to ensuring our officers and staff receive the best experience possible.
To be considered for the post you must be able to evidence the following essential criteria:
- Minimum of 4 GCSE passes or equivalent, including Maths and English.
Has good knowledge gained through experience in a payroll environment.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office - particularly Excel but also Outlook and Word.
Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
Knowledge of customer service practices and principles.
