**Salary**: £32,000 - £35,000 (+ company vehicle)
In a nutshell:
You will proactively assist the Group Health and Safety Manager in implementing the Safety Management System across the business as well as providing H & S advice to site and operations managers

This role would suit someone who has a background working in warehousing / transportation, holds a NEBOSH certificate and is hungry to make genuine changes and develop a robust Safety Management System
Role:
You will supporting the operations in all areas of Health and Safety by offering support and guidance to the teams. This will include:

- Projects
- Financial Control
- Assist in collation of annual H&S budgets and ensure that they are adhered too.
- To actively pursue more efficient ways of working within existing processes and develop new processes.
- Interfaces
- Liaise with Directors, General Managers, Head Of Divisions, Operations Support Managers, their direct reports and Employees at all levels within the Group
- Liaise with HSE/Environment Agency and/or other outside parties as required to meet business training needs
- Assisting the Group H&S Manager
- Conducting out safety risk assessments and developing appropriate control measures.
- Reviewing all policies and procedures to ensure they are up to date with both the operations and relevant legislation.
- Preparing and investigating accident reports and other safety related issues.
- Compiling accidents statistics and reports for management.
- Staying up to date with health, safety and environment regulations and legislation.
- Conducting in house training / safety briefings.
- Attend Safety Committee Meetings and provide Health and Safety information and guidance.
- Conduct Internal audits where trained to do so.
- Assist with the development of the Integrated Management System for the business where appropriate.
- Setting a good example.
Person Specification:

- MUST have NEBOSH certificate or equivalent
- MUST have a background within warehousing / transportation is essential
- ISO experience desirable but not essential
- Multi site H&S experience would be desirable
- You will need to be able to build strong relationships and have an empathy for what is trying to be done
