We are seeking a Digital Publishing Editor to join our dynamic editorial department and oversee and uphold the highest standards in our daily digital publication. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced editor to help develop and collaborate with an incredible team on overseeing our life science digital content portals, creating and developing diverse digital publications - ebooks, interviews and articles.
**Role Responsibilities**:
- Digital content creation for up to 3 content portals
- Own and execute daily digital publishing schedule for up to 3 portals
- Collaborate with the editorial team to generate, refine and execute ideas using digital trends and data
- Research, write and develop articles to be published on our content portals through identifying key topics
- Organising and/or hosting monthly themed online discussion groups
- Identifying & approaching key opinion leaders for the purpose of creating digital content e.g. interviews around monthly editorial themes
- Full editorial and performance responsibility of own portfolio of content portals, editorial schedule, calendar and brief
- Mentoring/Managing an editorial team of up to 3 junior editors - monitoring & co-ordinating schedules, performance, appraisals, weekly 1-2-1s
- Supporting Director of Content in new processes implementation within the department
- Overseeing SEO strategy & standards are upheld
- Overseeing editorial standards are upheld in written digital publications and reviewing the styleguide
- Proof-reading and copy-editing junior editor’s digital content including monthly newsletters
- Supporting the promotion of digital portals on social media
**We are looking for someone with**:
- Minimum of 1 - 2 years of experience in editorial and/or digital publishing sector
- Excellent research and organisational skills, with strong problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and oral
- Strong writing and proofreading skills - preferable within the life sciences sector
- Educated to degree level or equivalent with an interest in content writing and life sciences events
**More about the role**:
- _Salary_: £28,000-33,000 PA
- _Location_: All our roles are hybrid (a mix of remote and in office). Our offices are located on the Botley Road in Oxford, with shops/restaurants within walking distance and easy access into Oxford City Centre.
- _Job Type_: Full time (37.5 hours a week)
