Project Accountant

**Project Accountant** required for a high-growth engineering services group headquartered in Birmingham. The group has had considerable top-line growth in recent years, and under the guidance of a new Finance Director, the finance team is growingto support group commercial and operations functions.
As the Project Accountant, you will be reporting into the Finance Director, and be primarily responsible for management of a large portfolio of ongoing projects (valued from £10,000 up to over £1m), including budget management and mini-P&L reporting. Aswell as job costing and appraisals, you'll be sat within the engineering and operations teams on a regular basis to support their activities, and work with stakeholders (both internally and externally) to communicate financial position.
This role will play a key role in supporting transformation of FP&A activities, to provider wider scope of insight into cash position and adherence to budgeted figures. You'll inherit a blank canvas to build your own reporting models and develop tools thatsupport operations in a manner they understand, whilst feeding back regularly to the Finance Director on projects' progress.
