**Salary**: Career Graded, Band 4 - 8, £23,100 - £34,833 (Salary entry point dependent on experience / qualifications)

**Location**: Home Working /Forth Banks Police Station, with regular travel across the Force Area as required.

**What will I be doing?**

Ideally, you will be experienced in managing a caseload where you are accountable for preparing complex case files in a professional and timely manner, working with Senior People Advisers and Partners to make recommendations for next steps and resolution, however more important than experience, is the right person for the role. This is a career graded role which offers a fantastic development opportunity for someone who is starting their career in this area; we are keen to hear from you also if this is you.

As a People Adviser you will actively seek to develop influential relationships with stakeholders to understand their capability to deal with people issues, seeking opportunities to upskill managers and staff alike.

As part of the management of incoming enquiries, you will undertake administrative tasks which support our people during significant points in their employee lifecycle, as well planning and preparation for corporate People Services meetings.

Part of the role will require attendance at meetings; therefore, applicants will need to be able to travel throughout the Force area.

If home working is not possible for the successful applicant, office-based working on a full-time basis can be accommodated.

You will bring:

- Specialist knowledge of current and emerging employment law and best practice issues and their impact on service provision
- Ability to prioritise and complete multiple responsibilities and projects simultaneously
- Ability to communicate complex information clearly and succinctly, both verbally and in writing
- Experience working within the policing sector. (Desirable)
- Experience working within the wider public sector (Desirable)
