Semi-skilled/skilled Ductworker

We are looking for hardworking, reliable individuals who are interested in Ductwork and Fabrication. The position is working Monday to Friday and 1 in 4 Saturdays. **You will be paid according to skill level** which will be reviewed on completion of a **successful** 6 month probation period, which can continue to increase as you develop your skills with Airtrace’s support of on the job training.

**We have vacancies on the following shifts**:
Early shift: 05.30 to 14.30

Late shift: 16.00 to 01.00 (paid at a rate of time and a quarter due to some hours being unsociable)

**Semi-Skilled Ductworker** **Responsibilities**:

- Learning the skills needed to become a Skilled Ductwork/Fabricator to a DW144 specific standard.
- Working as a team and helping skilled fabricators with tasks at hand.
- General workshop duties such as the assembly of Ductwork and help others will mez frames, painting, cutting, punching and loading.
- Operating various machinery including CNC plasma cutters to assist in the manufacture of Ductwork and sheet metal components.

**Skilled Ductworker** **Responsibilities**:

- Working with other skilled staff members to product high standards of DW144 Specific Ductwork and learning from them, with on-the-job training.
- Working as a team to complete the tasks at hand.
- General workshop duties such as the assembly of Ductwork and help others will mez frames, painting, cutting, punching and loading.
- Operating various machinery including CNC plasma cutters to assist in the manufacture of Ductwork and sheet metal components.
- Adhering to Health & Safety Regulations.
- Possibility of becoming a Team Leader or Senior Team leader
- Many progression opportunities.

**Requirements**:

- Attention to detail to ensure quality.
- Ability to work to customer requirements.
- Ability to follow Health and Safety regulations.
- Teamwork.
- Accurate measuring ability.
- Good numeracy skills.
- Experience of using a tape measure and other measuring devices.
- GCSE (or equivalent) in maths preferred but not essential.

**Ongoing development**:
Airtrace will continue to train you through our workshop positions all the way to Skilled Ductwork by:

- Continuing to develop your ductwork skills and knowledge with our on-the-Job training.
- Continue to build your knowledge on various machines.
- Offer anyone interested, an NVQ in Ductwork (once requirements are reached)
- Teach you how to read specification drawings.
- Offer you opportunities to develop your management skill (once requirements are reached)
