Laundry Porter

**OVERALL JOB PURPOSE**:
Assist with the daily operations of the laundry services department. Performs a variety of complicated tasks for a property which operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, fulfilling business aspirations to achieving and further developing the optimum position in its market.

To consistently achieve the levels of service and product delivery with the highest degree of customer care in line with business requirements.

Actively participate and contribute positively as a member of staff.

**PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES**:

- Engage in receiving, washing, ironing, packaging and delivering laundry to various departments.
- Maintains the reporting system for the laundry operations.
- Ensuring the security of your team’s particular work area is maintained at all times.
- Ensure the correct upkeep and cleanliness of linen cupboards and trolleys.
- Ensure for the efficient and effective control and use of linen.
- Ensure technical excellence of your team in your area of work.
- Ensure your team are full legal compliance, including regular health, safety and hygiene inspections and perform risk assessments. Keep abreast of latest developments and innovations, recommending and implementing changes where necessary.
- Participate actively in induction training, cross-training, performance management and development of yourself and your team.
- Ensure your team effectively liase with other colleagues and members of staff as required.
- Performance of any other duties/projects etc. as required by members of the Management team.

**Salary**: £7.50-£8.91 per hour
