**About the Role**

You will play a key role in the team, planning, supervising and reviewing accountancy services for a portfolio of clients.

Key responsibilities include:

- Lead the audit work for your client portfolio taking responsibility for all aspects of their accounting and advisory needs;
- Provide a high level of client service to ensure everyone is kept up to date with relevant issues;
- Have an awareness of the commercial factors which could impact your clients’ businesses;
- Managing the timetable, planning, review and completion of audit and other related assignments;
- Assist the directors with QAD compliance work;
- Develop an awareness of compliance updates and how they impact clients;
- Assist with complex accounts and tax work;
- Act as a mentor to junior staff and take ownership for their training, ensuring regular appraisals and feedback;
- Review and appraise internal working practices, identifying areas where efficiency improvements can be made.

**The Successful Applicant**
You will be a qualified accountant (ACA, CA, ACCA) with strong practice-based experience of providing audit and accountancy services to a variety of clients.

The role is ideally suited towards an Audit & Accounts Senior looking for their first Manager or Assistant Manager position.

Requirements include:

- Technically strong qualified accountant (ACA, CA, ACCA);
- Previous experience working in a similar role;
- Confident, professional and credible with clients;
- Confidence to promote services to potential new clients at marketing/networking events;
- Ability to motivate and develop a dedicated, multi-skilled team to deliver exceptional service;
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office, Sage, Xero and Quickbooks;
- Good working knowledge of skill requirements of staff at various levels;
- Strong written and oral communication skills, to include report writing;
- Demonstrable organisational skills.
