**EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW**

Reporting to the Head of Finance - Capital & Commercial, in this high-profile role you will be partnering with our capital design, delivery and commercial Operations, spanning across our core capital investment portfolio, you’ll be accountable for delivering high quality financial information and commercial insight. This will be for you to support the delivery of the business plan and operational performance for the area.

You will be tasked to drive a strong business partnering culture, underpinned by healthy challenge and control. You will focus on designing and embedding a challenging set of cost, performance and portfolio insight improvements to be effective for both the near and long term. You will lead a talented and experienced team of seven, partnering one of the biggest business area’s within Severn Trent with an AMP budget of £2.6bn.

Some of your other key accountabilities include:
Facilitate the production of robust forecasts.
- Play a key role in providing portfolio insight and driving improvement action based on this insight.
- Provide accurate, timely analysis and insight on monthly, annual and AMP performance against targets on outputs and finances and drive action within delivery areas where activity is off track.
- Identify key risks and opportunities to annual and AMP performance commitments and work with delivery teams to mitigate risks and benefit from opportunities.
- Preparation and presentation of reporting to the strategic leadership team, Capital Committee, Sub Area boards and other approval bodies.
