As a Barclays Climate Risk Manager in Wholesale Credit Risk (WCR), you will help to drive the initiative to ensure that climate risks are well understood and embedded in the Wholesale Credit Risk processes within the Corporate Investment Bank businesses.This role will require relationship management across the wider Risk teams, Wholesale Credit function and central climate teams, including MGI programme. The role holder will be required to engage and lead dialogue with senior managers.

**What will you be doing?**:

- Overseeing data requirement gathering and prioritisation for WCR
- Driving and overseeing improvements in the reporting of key climate/ credit risks by the reporting function
- Driving improvements in the quantitative assessment of clients
- Working with credit risk SMEs to ensure that risks are well and understood and consistently managed across the portfolio
- Supporting the evolution and implementation of climate risk framework, including setting risk appetite
- Setting sector and product risk appetite through the mandate and scale framework and setting credit risk appetite to concentrations of climate risks

- Experience working within a risk function
- Working with large and complex data sets
- Conceptual thinking and analytical abilities
- Relationship management of diverse stakeholders
**Skills that will help you in the role**:

- Experience and/ or qualifications in climate risk
- Wholesale credit risk experience and banking/ financial services operations experience including the controls environment
- Wider thinking - an awareness of business strategy and objectives
- Knowledge of the Barclays International businesses and experience of working with non-UK based business areas
