As a Dental Receptionist:
- You will have proven front of house reception / customer service experience

About the Job:
- **18 hours across fixed 2 days a week (to be confirmed at interview stage) working 8am - 6pm**
Summary of Job role:
As receptionist, you will provide patient care services to contribute to an overall exceptional patient experience. A receptionist contributes to the first impressions of our patients and, therefore, must perform the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Achieve positive outcomes from patient queries in a timely and efficient manner
- Ensure an efficient reception experience for patients, including check in/out
- Ensure that the reception manager is kept fully aware of any relevant feedback from patients.
- Demonstrate a high level of patient service at all times
- Attend appropriate training courses, when required
- Use the correct procedures regarding the acceptance of credit cards and cash in accordance with the practice policies and procedures.
- Comply with security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation
- Act in accordance with policies and procedures when working with front of house equipment and property management systems
- Assist the reception manager in providing administration support as and when required.
- Promoting a professional image and being knowledgeable about the services the practice provides.
- Providing patients of the practice with a warm welcome and making them feel at ease.
- Answering the telephone in a friendly, helpful and courteous manner.
- Making all the necessary patient checks in accordance with our practice policies.
- Offering sundry healthcare products to patients giving advice where necessary in accordance with practice policy and with recommendations from clinical staff.
- Promoting a professional image and being knowledgeable about the services the practice provides.

Essential requirements:
- Previous experience in a customer-focused industry
- Positive attitude and good communication skills
- Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service
- Ability to work on your own and as part of a team
- Competent level of IT proficiency or a willingness to learn
**Experience**:
- Receptionist or a patient facing customer service role: 1 year (preferred)
