Fixed Term Contract until May 2026

An exciting opportunity has become available to support and help shape the work of the Labour Group of Councillors on South Tyneside Council.

You will be required to undertake research, offer high-quality policy and political advice, produce robust communications plans and ensure administrative support to the Labour Group, the largest political group on the Council.

We are looking for an individual with excellent communication and partnership skills, experience of working in a political environment and communicating with the media, as well as a detailed knowledge and understanding of the role and the functions of local government.
