As a procurement consultant, you will provide competitive advantage and cost reductions in the acquisitions of goods, works and services through procurement and supply chain activities, including the management of suppliers and negotiation of high value complex contracts and associated commercial issues.

**_What you'll be doing_**:
When we are acquiring goods, works and services, you will manage everything from purchasing and supply chain activities, through to relationships with suppliers and procurement frameworks. Your skills will help to implement a procurement plan for a specific business area, and you will support various projects.

Importantly, you will help us to deliver our business plans by leading the tendering process with appropriate support and managing commercial aspects. You will collaborate with colleagues to ensure that the commercial risks associated with the business requirements are identified and understood and reflected in the appropriate technical and commercial information.

With appropriate support, you will negotiate important contracts, develop great relationships, and make informed recommendations.

Day to day, with support where needed, you will lead and support the commercial aspects of contract negotiations, managing commercial and contractual activities both pre-contract and where appropriate post contract to ensure delivery of best value whilst meeting Iberdrola Group Procurement processes. Working closely with the business to support the development, construction or operation of significant infrastructure projects, assets, systems, and services by understanding business drivers and market dynamics.

**_What you'll bring_**:
To join, you’ll have a level of understanding of both tactical and strategic procurement principles, practice, and processes - being able to develop, with support where needed, appropriate contracting strategies and negotiating important one-off contracts and framework agreements that meet the business timescales and specifications. You know procurement - contract management, tendering, commercial contract management and negotiations. Being a confident Procurement professional, you can seek to persuade, challenge, and build credibility with key stakeholders and strive to deliver results to meet deadlines. All of this will be supported by your strong analytical skills, attention to detail, working to timelines and literacy with Microsoft Excel.
