ElectroRoute is an international, renewables focused, energy trading and services company. The company has grown rapidly from a start-up in 2011 to now employing over 90 professionals based in Ireland, the UK, Europe, and Japan. ElectroRoute is a subsidiary of the Japanese trading house, Mitsubishi Corporation.

Our expert trading team operates 24x7 in Ireland, the UK, across Continental Europe and in Japan; utilising our bespoke trading platform, ElectroRoute CORE, to provide essential trading services to wind farms, solar farms, and batteries.

Our ambitious growth plans will see us increasing the volume and variety of our activities over the coming years, requiring growth in the strength and depth of our team to help us make net zero a reality.

**The Position**

We are looking for a Green Trader to:

- trade carbon (compliance and voluntary), as well as environmental attribute certificates and other green certificates on our Green Desk;
- seek out commercial opportunities with external counterparties which will provide direct positive P&L impact;
- have an excellent understanding of the drivers and dynamics of green certificate markets;
- display a thorough understanding of the regulatory and public policy developments that will affect those markets; and have an existing network of contacts established throughout Europe.

- we are looking for an individual willing to take responsibility for his/her book, communicate complex concepts persuasively to the management team and bring a breadth of knowledge to the company.

**The individual probably**:

- has 5+ years of experience in trading roles in the green space the UK and Continental Europe;
- has a degree or higher degree;
- is numerate, articulate and open to exploring complex ideas.
- it would be desirable to have a foreign language, and electricity and gas experience would be a bonus.

**Remuneration**

Competitive package negotiable and commensurate with experience.

**Location**

The role is based in London - relocation assistance is available - and some travel will be expected.
