**Senior Legal Adviser**

**Remote working with requirement to attend Winchester offices twice a month**

**5-Month Temporary Contract**

**Salary £29.11 per hour**

To provide legal advice, advocacy and representation to the County Council’s departments, committees, Members and other client bodies, including external clients.
- **Please note, to be considered for this position, you must be a qualified Solicitor, Barrister, GCILEx or FCILEx.**_

**Role Responsibilities**
- Good knowledge and recent experience of providing legal advice on Adult Social Care Law.
- Good drafting skills.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Good understanding of the concept of client care with evidence of having applied this in practice.
- Good self-organisation, time and case management skills.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Ability to work as part of a team and contribute towards overall practice development.
- Able to travel throughout the County of Hampshire as required.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Provision of effective legal advice on Adult Social Care matters.
- Management of a caseload.
- Case management and client care in accordance with SRA Codes of Conduct and local Office Procedures and Client Care Policy.
- Advice on and drafting of documentation pertaining to non-contentious matters such as corporate guidance and policies, contracts and associated documents
- Advice to County Council Members, Committees, Chief Officers and managers on Education and Adult Social Care related and other matters of corporate significance.
- Preparation and delivery of Education and Adult Social Care related training and development workshops to the County Council.
