**Head of Category - Carpets - Purfleet, Essex. Hybrid working 3 days a week**
The main purpose of this role is to develop and implement the Category Plan and deliver the budgeted KPIs for the Category Sales and Margin. The Head Of Category will work with the Buying and Merchandising Director to develop the long term Category Strategy and Financial Plan, develop and manage the category promotional plan and will work cross-functionally to ensure excellent implementation of these plans. The role entails frequent contact at the highest levels within and outside of the organisation and therefore requires highly developed communication and influencing skills,
**Key Responsibilities**
- Development and implementation of the Category Plan
- Development and implementation the Category Promotional Plan
- Oversee the Buying team as they define, source and implement the range in accordance with the requirements of the Category Strategy
- Negotiate trading terms with the largest Group suppliers
- Work with peers in other Nestware companies to deliver the Group Sourcing Plan
- Oversee the development and management of the supplier base
- Support the Head of Stock Management with the development of Sales, Margin and Stock Budgets and Forecasts
- To deputise for the Buying and Merchandising Director as required
- Liaising at all levels within and outside of the organization, especially Stock Management, Marketing and Retail teams
- Development and management of the Category Buying team
