**About the role**:
The role of a Teaching Assistant is vital in the day-to-day running of schools. The best Teaching Assistants have excellent communication skills and are able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff, quickly and effectively. You will be working with the class teacher to manage behaviour, support with interventions, and provide additional support to children with SEND.
You will be working with and supporting students aged 2-18 with a diagnosis of physical, medical, sensory needs and/or moderate learning difficulties. Previous experience of working with children and young people with special educational needs is desirable. You will assist the class teacher with recording and reporting on pupil progress and behaviour, and help ensure that children are making good progress in the classroom. You will promote inclusion and acceptance of all pupils with a flexible approach to learning and a positive, friendly and understanding attitude towards children and young people with complex needs.

**Requirements**:
To be considered for the role of Teaching Assistant you will:
- Hold a current DBS or happy to get a new one in process.
- Previous school based experience is desirable.
- Previous relevant experience of SEND.
- Have a desire to engage pupils in education and help to overcome barriers to learning.
- A kind, caring and nurturing personality.
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
