Key Responsibilities
- To lead and oversee client SEO accounts
- Develop and implement strategies alongside Account Managers
- Carry out Keyword and competitor research
- Review technical SEO issues and recommend fixes
- Establish and deliver on and offsite content SEO strategies
- Optimise content to a very high level
- Manage quality of work being delivered on client SEO accounts
- Analyse Analytics, report of performance and advise on strategy
- Identify causes for increases and losses in search visibility
- Deliver strategies that effectively incorporate the fullest range of SEO signals (including social signals, offsite signals and user behaviour signals)
- Identify weaknesses and opportunities to improve website user experience. Theorise and test solutions to address these.
- Attend new business meetings and be able to write effective SEO proposals
- Manage client SEO budgets
- Keep on top of SEO advancements and train team
- Share, challenge and develop best practices
Skill Requirements
- 3+ years’ experience of creating and implementing SEO strategies, ideally as a senior or team leader
- Must be commercially and business minded and be able to demonstrate this
- Must be able to demonstrate measurable success of previous SEO
- Must have advanced experience with the use of Google Analytics
- Must have first-hand experience in SEO operations and strategy
- Highly analytical and KPI driven, structured thinker with strong attention to detail
- Competence in generating proposals
- Must have the ability to proficiently chair meetings when necessary
- Able to liaise with clients and develop strong client relationships
- Able to proficiently explain account performance to both new and existing clients
- Desire to stay up to date with all industry developments
- Experience using industry-known SEO tools (e.g. Ahrefs, SEMrush, Searchmetrics)
- Demonstrable ability to write web content to a high standard
