**Job Type**: Full Time, Permanent
**Location**: Lympne Castle, Hythe
**Job description**: This position will be responsible for overseeing events held at the castle, ensuring they are executed to the highest standards, and that all guests receive exceptional service. This includes the full event process including, but not limited to, presenting the Castle to potential guests, negotiating all details of the event contract and fulfilling the delivery of extraordinary weddings and other events.
**Responsibilities**:
- Building relationships with clients and promoting the Castle as a premier wedding and event venue;
- Managing client (sales) accounts to maximize revenue per event and generate repeat business;
- Responding to inquiries and providing in person presentation of the castle and grounds to interested parties;
- Negotiating contracts and finalizing event details with clients;
- Supervising and leading the Front of House team for set-up and during weddings and events (in person).
This is a 7-day /week hospitality operation. As such, weekend and evening work will be required.
**To be considered, the following criteria need to be met**:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales and/or event operations, preferably in the wedding or event industry;
- Event leadership experience with an ability to motivate and manage a team;
- Self-motivated and disciplined;
- Solutions-oriented;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Strong negotiation and sales skills;
- Ability to work well under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced environment;
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with an ability to manage multiple projects/events;
- Experience with event management software and Microsoft Office;
- Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as required;
- Experience with Social Media content creation is an asset.
