**About the Role**:
**We’re looking for a confident, proactive, and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in Gloucester, supporting a gentleman in his late 30’s with autism, learning disabilities, mental health needs, and sensory sensitivities, who communicates non-verbally via Makaton, PECS, Social Stories, and gestures. The person we support can display behaviours that challenge, particularly when routines are disrupted, and requires consistent Positive Behaviour Support, supervision, and reassurance to maintain safety and emotional wellbeing.

As a Support Worker, you will assist the person we support with daily living tasks, personal care, maintaining a safe and structured home environment, community access, and engagement in meaningful activities, while supporting family contact and sensory needs. The role includes promoting routines, monitoring safety, managing behaviours that challenge, and helping the person we support maintain independence within a predictable environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**You will be responsible for providing proactive, person-centred care and supervision at home and in the community, supporting the person we support with daily living tasks, personal care, hygiene, meal preparation, nutrition, laundry, clothing, home maintenance, community access, family contact, emotional wellbeing, and engagement in meaningful activities, while implementing Positive Behaviour Support strategies, ensuring safety, adherence to routines, and maintaining accurate records in line with care standards and organisational policies.
