**Research Engineer, Microfluidic System Engineer, R&D, Hardware, Biology, Hybrid Remote**

A Research Engineer / Microfluidic System Engineer is needed to join an innovative and rapidly growing scientific R&D company in Oxford.

**The Role**

This role will be the first Research Engineer / Microfluidic System Engineer within the hardware team and will take full ownership of the development of brand-new microfluidic systems. The Research Engineer / Microfluidic System Engineer will be responsiblefor the whole lifecycle and integration of the microfluidic systems and will write scripts in order to automate fluidic systems.

Only needing to be onsite 3 days a week, the Research Engineer / Microfluidic System Engineer has a truly exciting opportunity to shape the role and projects how they see fit and make a real difference the company’s progression.

**What’s Required?**

For this Research Engineer / Microfluidic System Engineer role, we are looking for:

- A good understanding of project management and ideally DOE
- Prior industry experience in product development in a microfluidic space or similar would be advantageous
- Prior experience developing a product from initial ideas would be favourable
