The role of Building Safety Information Officer has a competitive pay rate of £21.10 Payee (negotiable based on experience). Other benefits include excellent training and support for career development and 21 days of holiday (excluding Bank Holidays). Overview of Building Safety Information Officer: 1. Develop, implement, and manage data management processes, systems, and data collection for management of the Council's Housing (HRA) stock to support the evidence base for safe buildings. 2. Maintain Health & Safety related records, trends and information relating to the group HRA buildings and produce reports, and management information and present as required including where necessary the Regulator. 3. To act as the first point of contact for Health and Safety within the Housing be responsible for risk assessments, safe systems of work, 4. Identifying best practice in Health and Safety, providing guidance and support to all members of the Housing team. 5. To support and work closely with managers, directors, and safety committees to ensure that risks are identified and assessed and that activities are prioritized and coordinated to further control and mitigate risks, including the development of safety plans, work programmes and performance measures. 6. Maintain good relations with all stakeholders, providing excellent customer service through assessment of customer need. Meet quality standards for 7. services, communication and feedback and evaluation of customer satisfaction 8. To advise on the developments within Health and Safety and the implications of business change in the housing team and to support managers in adapting and implementing revised policy and arrangements as required. " Excellent working knowledge and understanding of Housing Health and Safety related issues including legislation, approved codes of practice " Excellent knowledge of building risks, Aware of landlord compliance requirements. " Working knowledge of and able to use MS office software and an understanding of database usage. " Understanding of the political context and environment of Local Government " Proven track record and experience of providing practical Health and Safety advice with the confidence to challenge while offering solutions. " Experience of developing and presenting engaging Health and Safety training programmes to all levels of staff to ensure a full understanding of personal responsibilities.
