Are you considering a career change? Want to work with an amazing, supportive team helping patients to maximise their therapy potential? The Speech and Language Therapists at Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading are looking for an assistant and would love to work with you.

Speech and Language Therapists in acute care support individuals who are experiencing difficulties with communication and swallowing. This post is based across the Acute Stroke Unit in the Royal Berks and the Neuro Rehab Unit based in West Berkshire Hospital and the successful applicant will be responsible for delivering therapy programmes with the support of qualified SLT's.

The successful post holder will have strong communication skills and will be confident in conversing with a wide range of individuals. Computer and organisational skills are essential and previous experience of working with elderly/adults within a hospital or community setting is desirable.

The Speech and Language Therapy team are incredibly supportive with a wide range of clinical interests and experience. We work within a strong MDT and have good relationships with our therapy colleagues.

You will be supported by the current post holder to learn admin systems etc and will be supported by the Neuro team to develop the skills necessary to complete the clinical/therapy aspect of the role.

You will have regular supervision to help your development
