Financial Crime Analyst

An international law firm is hiring a Financial Crime Analyst to join their team. You will assist partners with financial crime queries and escalations in line with all regulations and legislation, as well as running AML and sanctions processes and projectsaround risk management. You will support the firm to develop the highest standards of professional conduct and embed risk and compliance best practices throughout all offices.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Dealing with financial crime and BAU queries such as PEPs and red flags
- Acting as an escalation point for AML and sanctions escalations
- Reviewing and escalating ongoing monitoring notifications
- Advising case handlers on steps required to mitigate risk associated with the client
- Horizon scanning for changes in sanctions regulations and updating team members as required
- Monitoring and updating country risk scores
- Assisting with drafting and updating policies and procedures such as AML and BAU guidance
- Creating and providing financial crime training to junior team members
- Refining the firm's risk assessment processes
- Conducting internal audits
