**Position Overview**:
Are you looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity to help you develop new skills whilst supporting our supply chain function.

Avantor Services provide a broad variety of on-site laboratory/support services for a major pharmaceutical customer. These services range from lab support, materials management, scientific product preparation to warehousing and global distribution.

As Supply Chain Apprentice you will support the day-to-day workload and output of the service team while providing excellent customer service.

This role will require you to work across 3 interconnected supply chain areas within Avantor Services on a rotation basis across an 18-month period:

- Sample Dispatch Unit_
- Shipping of samples to global destinations ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
- Daily interaction with customer groups to ensure delivery of plan.
- Training will be provided in the dispatch of Dangerous Goods (IATA, ADR, IMDG)
- GMP Warehouse/Chemical Stores_
- Receive, locate and store materials in line with documented procedures into the relevant Inventory Management systems
- Support customer manufacturing plan using documented processes
- Training will be provided in Good Manufacturing Process (GMP) and related IT systems
- Procurement Team_
- Ordering and management of consumable items in support of laboratory and production areas for a large pharmaceutical company
- Act as Point of Contact for customers, actively engaging with them on a regular basis to understand their business requirements
- Liaise with external suppliers to leverage best price, and proactively manage on site stock

**What you will need**:

- GCSE English & Maths at level 5 and above preferred
- IT Literate with experience of multiple software packages

**What you will have by the end of the 18 months**:
Supply Chain Leader (Practitioner) Level 3 Accredited Qualification
