Duties & Responsibilities
- Procure goods and services: Interact with Key stakeholders to clearly understand site requirements & projects demands, execute requirements in line with Stakeholder expectations.
- Analyse and interpret Materials data, help prepare and develop global strategies to drive performance improvements, innovation, savings, and mitigate supply risks.
- Communicate and negotiate in a proactive, independent manner to effectively avoid and/or resolve issues, and establish solid reporting within stakeholder group.
- Drive, sourcing and strategy development in order to achieve a competitive cost structure
- Provide input into stakeholder scope of requirements while offering commercial suggestions for value creation and maintaining a competitive environment
- Perform market research to obtain market knowledge and experience to develop negotiation strategies
- Take over lead of several strategic and operational activities, including, securing material supply internally and externally, handling escalations and quarterly supplier ratings
- Lead commercial negotiations involving cross-functional international team members
- Establish negotiation plans for high value international projects
- Develop and lead global sourcing projects including scope of work creation, negotiation planning, and driving results which meet organizational goals
- Manage supplier performance in terms of quality, cost, delivery, technology and service in order to achieve best-in-class supply base
- Drive implementation of program tools in order to achieve purchasing operations excellence
- Manage and negotiate supplier contracts in order to have the best terms and conditions for the company
- Establish, execute and track spend & saving reports and project plans, utilizing fundamental project management techniques.
- Develop Supply Chains to ensure a Continuous Improvement Philosophy.
Skills & Qualificiations
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline
- MCIPS or substantively working towards this
- Track record of procurement experience ideally gained within a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Experience of participating in or leading cross-site commodity / international procurement projects
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills on an international level
- Ability to prioritise and work on multiple activities at one time with the ability to work independently and with autonomy
- SAP, Ariba, MS Excel, PowerPoint presentation and data analysis skills
