My client is a market leading organisation in the property sector. Due to their continued growth they have an opportunity within their Legal department. The role involves supporting and managing the rent protection claims process and overseeing Litigation and Enforcement Procedures (under the Section 8 & Section 21 notice) for all of their insured and non-insured Landlords.

You will also be supporting Landlords on any Legal matters and help them mitigate their losses and give them various options on proceedings.

As a **Legal Coordinator **you will receive;
- Salary of £23,000
- Bonus up to £2,500

- 37.5 hours per week contract. Core hours are Monday - Friday 9am - 5:30pm.

**The main accountabilities of the role will include**:

- Manage the process of activating, registering, investigating, processing, and settling Rent Protection policy claims in line with policy terms and conditions.
- Handle inquiries and concerns related to the policy and its operation.Initiate legal proceedings for property possession against tenants breaching contractual obligations, including serving notices (e.g., Section 8, NTQ, Section 21).
- Follow pre-legal protocol, encourage mediation per government guidance, and coordinate with landlords and tenants.
- Prepare and instruct solicitors for legal proceedings, monitor payments, and communicate with various departments and third parties.
- Ensure timely updates for insured landlords on ongoing legal proceedings.
- Notify non-insured landlords of potential legal actions against their tenants.
- Instruct and coordinate with solicitors for court hearings under Section 8 and Section 21 notices.
- Compile facts for potential mediation/hearing and keep landlords and tenants informed throughout legal processes.
- Engage in daily telephone communication with landlords and tenants, offering professional advice and customer service.
- Approach the role with a sensible and pragmatic mindset, considering the legally binding tenancy agreement requiring tenants to pay rent on time.
- Negotiate payment plans with tenants, guarantors, and landlords for arrears or guide tenants to seek independent help and legal advice.
