The Learning Support Assistant:
For this Learning Support Assistant position, you must have experience working with pupils of a similar age group with a range of SEN. Your understanding of SEN should be excellent; you must have good knowledge of how to support young people with Autism, ADHD,Dyslexia, attachment disorder, complex learning difficulties and physical disabilities. You must be patient, resilient and compassionate - you must have the best interests of the children at heart
The Learning Support Assistant Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant at this school, you will be providing in-class support for pupils during their lessons, assisting with their work and with managing classroom behaviour. You will also work alongside the wellbeing team to work with pupils in apastoral capacity, and provide intervention support on a 1:1 basis or in small groups where required. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will also be assisting with wider-school activities such as school trips and enrichment sessions.
