**TIMES OF WORK**

10-hour shifts between the times of 6am and 10pm decided on operational requirements. The shifts will be Monday - Friday including Bank Holidays. This equates to 50 hours per week contractually.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Main Purpose of the Role**

As an Environmental Crime Training Officer, you will be expected to patrol the borough in an intelligence led manner, engaging and educating members of the community and when necessary, enforcing legislation by the way of issuing an “on the spot” Fixed Penalty Notice for littering, dog fouling, fly-tipping, graffiti, fly Posting, anti-social behaviour, commercial waste, domestic waste and other related contraventions as required.

**As an Environmental Crime Officer, you will be**:

- Brand Ambassadors for the local authority and National Enforcement Solutions.
- Patrolling the area of principal littering authority in accordance to an agreed deployment strategy.
- Investigating complaints made by elected members and members of the public.
- Engaging and educate members of the public with regard to Environmental Crime.
- Interacting directly with offenders and issue Fixed Penalty Notices for authorised offences in accordance to legislation, ensuring that the evidential and public interest tests have been met.
- Compiling a full notebook entry and witness statement for every issued Fixed Penalty Notice.
- Obtaining and validate the personal particulars of an offender by contacting the Operational Support Team.
- Attending Court and give evidence is required.

**As a Training Officer, you will**:

- Work across various company contracts and train officers to a high standard
- Motivate a team, lead by example, performance management and promote a good practise method of development
- Officer training and support to all team members
- Recognise excellent work and encourage officers in a positive way

**FLEXABILITY**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £39,000.00 per year
