**Main duties of the job**
Ensure that the clinical environment is conducive to the well-being of patients, visitors and members of staff at all times and reports situations/incidents promptly that may be detrimental to others
Plan the nursing care programmes in accordance with clinical objectives and with the involvement of patients, carers and multi-professional team.
Ensure that all nursing practice is evidence-based, utilising an evidence-based approach to care.

**Detailed job description and main responsibilities**
Works as a qualified member of the nursing team under the leadership of the Ward Manager, working in a collaborative and co-operative manner with other health care professionals to promote the wellbeing and interests of patients / clients in a mental health or learning disability setting
- To undertake any other duties of a similar nature consistent with the responsibilities of this post in order to provide a quality Older Adult Urgent Care service.
- Provide and receive clinical supervision and appraisal as per Trust policy.
- Ensure an effective communication mechanism is in place, particularly with regards to patient care and progress.
- Maintain NMC Registration, standards, and PREP requirements, taking all opportunities to further knowledge and develop professionally.
- Assess resources to maintain appropriate standards of care, initiating any further action which may be required when resources are felt to be inadequate.
