Robert Walters - Interim Rent and Service Charge Manager - 3-6 month contract - West Midlands

You must be a fully qualified accountant with excellent people leadership skills, technical accounting knowledge including service charge reconciliation client reporting, have a process led attention to detail, be a strong communicator and a natural peopleleader. This would suit someone who has worked in either housing, construction, or property. You will also take full accountability for the Service Charge Team.

**Location**:West Midlands (hybrid working)

**Contract length**: 3-6 month contract

**Salary**: £300-£350 per day

Key responsibilities of the Interim Rent & Service Charge Manager
- Management of the service charge and rent teams, providing direction, offering necessary support and running appraisals and performance reviews.
- Lead on any recruitment for your team and assist with the training of new starters.
- Determine each team members responsibilities during the accounting life cycle and ensure processes and procedures are well documented.
- Hold regular meetings with stakeholders challenging their spend and assisting with future budget setting.
- Oversee the timely production of service charge statements at year-end.
- Ensure service charges offer value for money and are affordable for tenants.
- Oversee the maintenance and required updates of the organisations rent policy.
- Provide technical advice (with respect to the Regulator's rent standard, and individual lease and rental agreements) to leaseholders and the organisation
- Ensure that income is maximised and customers are provided with an excellent service
- Utilising data analytics to uncover inconsistencies and other issues. As a result, challenging operational services and processes to deliver a work environment that enables continuous improvements

Key essentials of the Interim Rent & Service Charge Manager
- Fully qualified ACA or ACCA with relevant Post Qualified Experience
- Practice Trained
- Strong ability to organise & optimise processes
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Systems skills
