My client is recruiting for a Scheduler to join them on a permanent basis.
The Resource Allocator plays an important role in ensuring the effective operation of the deployment of the engineering workforce through coordination and cooperation with the management and administrative staff and their operating systems.
**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**:

- Understand the company and its clients’ requirements through positive and proactive engagement with contract support staff.
- To be the first point of contact for engineers with respect to works and the allocation of work.
- To coordinate labour allocation for all work types in normal hours and out of normal hours in a timely manner and to meet the required Service Level Agreements (SLAs) using the operating systems in place.
- To liaise closely with contract managers and contract support administrators (CSAs) to provide the level of site cover required for each contract.
- To liaise and chase CSAs for site access for engineers.
- To arrange allocation of engineers for training purposes.
- To identify and schedule less urgent calls to ensure target SLAs are achieved and engineers are fully allocated.
- To authorise engineers holiday requests ensuring suitable levels of cover are maintained.
- To provide feedback to management and admin staff highlighting areas of concern and to contribute to resolutions.
- To engage fully with the company’s contractual obligations to staff and clients alike.
**COMPETENCIES, CORE QUALITIES AND ATTRIBUTES**
To understand the urgency of call types for each client.
- IT literate, with attention to detail
- Strong team player with a positive attitude to work
- Strong customer focus with a professional and friendly manner
- Good UK geographical knowledge
- Ability to understand engineers’ capabilities and limitations although technical knowledge not essential
