Hayling Golf Club, founded in 1883, is an outstanding true Links golf course situated on the south-western tip of Hayling Island, Hampshire. As one of the top 100 golf course in England it is well-known and players travel from all over the country to play it.

Hayling Golf Club is offering a permanent Sunday position within the Bar Team on a minimum 8.5 hour contract, this could be up 11.5 hours depending on the clubs needs. Typical hours will be 1100-1930 but this could be anything up to 2230 finish especially during the summer months. The will also be opportunity to work additional hours if desired on alternative days to help out with functions and cover holiday, these will most likely involve evening work. You will be required to work alone as well as part of a team. At the end of the day it will be your responsibility to ensure the clubhouse is locked up and the alarm is set correctly.

Previous bar experience is desirable but not required as full training will be given. We are looking for someone who enjoys going the extra mile and making sure our members and visitors feel welcome.

**Main purpose of Job**:
To provide a friendly, professional and efficient service to members and visitors, with courtesy to the standard required according to legislation.

**Main Duties**:

- To report for duty on time and in the correct uniform.
- To ensure that the bar area is kept clean at all times. This includes wiping tables and correcting furniture.
- Follow rigidly and observe all hygiene regulations.
- Ensure the accuracy of all floats by checking them and reporting irregularities.
- You are responsible for the efficient dispensing and servicing of drinks.
- To communicate our services and facilities to guests as required.
- To deal with any customer complaints in a professional manner and to notify management of these.
- To ensure that the guests’ need’s and requirements are met.
- To ensure a high standard of personal hygiene and grooming.
- To ensure that all reasonable care is taken for the health and safety of yourself, other employees, guests and other persons on the premises.
- To observe all safety procedures and rules.
- To report and where possible take action on incidents of accidents or damage.
- To attend all training courses as notified to you by management.
- To carry out any other duties as may be notified to you by management.
- To be aware and comply with company policy regarding: Fire, Health & Safety, Hygiene, Food Hygiene, Customer Care & Security.
- To read, understand and comply with your responsibilities as defined in the Health & Safety Statement and Staff Handbook.
- To ensure the bar is left clean and tidy at the end of each shift.
- To cash up each night and notify the manager of any irregularities
- To lock up the building at the end of the shifts making sure all windows and doors are left secure.

**Occasional Duties**:

- To attend meeting/training sessions as required.
- To carry out any other reasonable request made by Management.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: £9.50 per hour
