Chloe Merrill is recruiting for a Chemist to join a chemicals manufacturing company at their site based in Gateshead on a full time, permanent basis.
**Your main duties will be**:

- Identify new experiments, techniques and reactions to improve the production of current processes and products.
- Develop incoming goods inspection, chemical testing and factoring.
- Develop and improve all internal QC test regimes to minimise process variation and replicate user parameters.
- Assist the Chemical Process and Product Manager with improvement projects when required.
- Cover for the Chemical Process and Product Manager as required.

**Your Background**:

- Degree qualified in Chemistry or closely related experience/ experience working in a laboratory environment.
- Experience of formulation chemistry would be advantageous.
- Experience within the water testing industry would be a distinct advantage
- Delivery of chemistry-based products from research through to scale-up and manufacture would be advantageous.
