Our finance services team provides the following services to our clients, Purchase to Pay, Accounts Receivable, Expenses including credit card management, Cash Forecasting and Payments, General Ledger and Non-Current Assets. We also offer some specialist areas such as VAT advice and guidance, EU Projects Audit Support and support for Government Counterparty exercises and Whole of Government Accounts.

Key responsibilities will include, but not limited to the following:

- Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) across the whole of the finance service, focussing on our Accounts Receivable and Debt Management Service.
- Support the Senior Management Team in our quarterly service planning process, including resource allocation
- Carry out root-cause analysis to provide an understanding of problems/anomalies and support the teams to enhance the service they deliver.
- Review processes in line with continuous improvement objectives
- Input into system changes and major programmes, providing technical and process knowledge, identifying areas of concern and suggesting resolutions.
- Lead in end-to-end testing and develop new processes to ensure that systems and change initiatives integrate smoothly into the teams.
- Support Head of Department, Operations Managers and Team Managers with ad hoc projects, investigations and audits.

To do this role well you will need:

- A proven track record of working within a Finance based role, ideally with a finance related qualification/accreditation
- Excellent working knowledge of Finance process best practice and ability to represent Finance in major change programmes
- Experience of managing change within a service delivery environment
- To be an SME in at least one finance discipline i.e. accounts receivable, credit control etc
- Previous Debt Management experience including Legal Recovery Practices would be highly advantageous
- Understanding of wider Government Accounting
- Previous experience working with Workday or Oracle preferred
- Excellent attention to detail; high degree of accuracy required in checking documentation
- Excellent numeracy and analytical skills
- Proven people management skills
- Excellent relationship management skills, including the ability to influence

To be considered, you will need to successfully obtain BPSS security clearance before commencing the role.

Full-time, hybrid
