**Overview of a Senior FM Officer**
Pertemps have an exciting opportunity within Harrow Council for a self-driven and motivated Senior FM Officer to join an expanding team.

**The Main Purpose of a Senior FM Officer**:

- To ensure that all current statutory requirements are complied with under the Health & Safety at Work Act etc. and other relevant legislation regarding staff and contractors.- To provide guidance of new legislation to council.- Effective risk assessment, management and supervision of all in-house, contracted works and maintenance contracts in respect of property and estates.- Effective risk assessment, management and supervision of all Council events- To be responsible for Estate Security consisting of all Alarms, Keys and key fob records. Ensuring the regular inspection and proper care, security, maintenance and usage of all the Council's property, estates and equipment.- To be responsible for compiling scope of works, obtain best value tenders, appoint contractors via council approval, instruct repair / informing council where repairs will have budget implications.**About you, the successful will have**:

- The ability to lead and motivate others, whilst prioritising workload- Strong procurement and negotiating skills, as well as project management skills- Strong knowledge of health and safety requirements, ensuring that all facilities comply with legislation- The ability to set targets, deadlines and budgets- Previous experience in a facilities role or operational management or project managementIf you have the necessary skills and experience for this role please click 'apply'.
