Service Care Legal are currently recruiting for a Childcare Lawyer for a local authority based in Essex. Please find below further details about this position.
**ROLE**:Childcare Lawyer
**LOCATION**: Essex
**CONTRACT**: 6 months - full time or part time
**RATE**: £40 to £50 per hour
This role can be fully remote.
**The Role**
- Working and progressing caseloads relating to childcare and social services
- To undertake Care Proceedings related to Children's Services
- Other cases include PLO, SGO and adoption matters which can be varied and complex
- To assist other members of the council with current legislation
- Have the potential to work a day from home pending departmental needs
**The Person**
- A qualified solicitor / lawyer / barrister with at least 2 years PQE
- Previous local authority experience is essential for this position
