**Job Role**: Housing Support Officer

**Salary**:£12.56 per hour

**Hours**:5 hours per week

**Contract type**:Permanent

**Location**:Sedgemoor

**The Role**:
We have 5 hours available per week within our SWAT (Criminal Justice - Somerset West and Taunton - Supported Housing) service based in Sedgemoor, focusing primarily on Housing Management duties with some direct client work.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Conduct and record monthly Fire and Health and Safety checks according to Julian House policies and procedures.
- Visit all residents facing eviction due to financial issues, aiming to prevent eviction by establishing financial management plans when possible.
- Maintain accurate organizational administrative systems, including Petty Cash and rent/service charge collection.
- Ensure the accommodation is kept to a high standard, with a particular focus on Health and Safety, in line with Julian House policies and procedures.
- Manage Referrals into the service and conducting assessments.

**Qualifications / Requirements**:

- Experience in Supported Housing is beneficial.
- A valid driving license and access to your own car.
- Ability to build professional, boundary-maintained relationships with clients.
- Experience working with individuals with complex needs and challenging behavior.
