Our client is a growing SME who is seeking to hire a Financial Accountant. The Financial Accountant is a No2 position to the Financial Controller and will supervise a team of 3 reports. The role will suit a finalist or newly qualified ACA/ACCA or CIMA Accountantwho is looking for a good mix of Financial and Management Accounting.
**Responsibilities**:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts for review with the Group Finance Controller
- Preparation and issue of variance reports to monitor 'actual vs budget’ and stretch targets
- Prepare overhead analysis as required
- Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet and intercompany accounts
- Assist in preparation of year-end accounts and the production of our audit files
- Assist in preparation and submission of the group monthly and quarterly VAT returns
- Ad-hoc analysis and investigations for the board and senior management
- Review and approval of supplier payment runs
- Provide cover for production of cashflow forecasts
- Provide support and cover for other members of the finance team (accounts payable, credit control)
- Monitoring and evaluating financial information systems and suggesting improvements where needed
A salary of £42,000-£46,000 is on offer plus 12% bonus and benefits.
