**Learning Support Assistants**

We are specifically working with a secondary school in Merseyside who are looking to secure the services of an outstanding learning support assistant, for long-term positions. The school aims to support young people to learn to make steps to improve andenjoy achieving success. A caring, structured learning environment is provided in which all pupils can develop academically, socially and emotionally and in which pupils and staff feel safe, secure and valued.

In school, pupils are accepted, valued and feel safe and encouraged by all staff to assist with all needs. They assess pastoral and learning needs and plan for progress. They also give time to pupils so they can reflect on and reassess their difficulties,build self-esteem and develop meaningful relationships.

All staff aim to improve each pupil's academic performance, ability to learn and social and emotional skills so that pupils are able to return to school, further education or enter the world of work. All roles work productively and collaborate with parents,carers, other schools, training organisations and other appropriate agencies for the good of all pupils.

**CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS**

- Full time
- Minimum rate of pay - £70 per day
- Hours - 8:30 am - 3.30pm

**EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS**
- Teaching assistant qualification is desirable
- SEN qualifications are desirable
- Previous experience working of working with young people (which we can reference)
- Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year
- Up to date Prevent training issued in the last year

**TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST**:

- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Provide two professional child related references
- Free, accredited continued professional development courses including safeguarding and behaviour management
- In-house Training and Development Team
