Our client a forward thinking, independent accountancy practice is seeking an Accounts Senior to join their team in Fareham.
The position will involve being responsible for a mixed portfolio of clients, dealing with a variety of accounts, bookkeeping, VAT and corporation tax.
Duties will include:
- Preparing year-end and statutory accounts
- Accessing financial records of the clients
- Preparing, reconciling, and filing VAT and Sales returns
- Reviewing bookkeeping and Xero records, dealing with journals, and preparing management accounts
- Preparation of corporation tax computations and returns
- Assisting with bookkeeping, accounting, VAT, and payroll work as needed
- Liaising and meeting with clients on a regular basis
They are ideally looking for someone with at least 2-3 years' practice experience with a professional qualification such as AAT/ACCA or ACA. Although study support is offered if required. You will also possess a strong knowledge of accounts, as well as excellentcommunication and organisational skills.
A good working knowledge of computerised and cloud based systems such as Xero and Microsoft packages would also be an advantage.
This is a full time office based position, Monday to Friday 8.30AM-5.00PM or 9.00AM-5.30PM, although there may be some flexibility with the opportunity to work from home occasionally.
