An experienced HR Officer is needed to join our team at Hurlingham Club based in London. This is a fixed-term role for 12 months.
Our HR department is responsible for all aspects of HR, including benefits, recruitment, employee relations and training. They are a small and friendly team of four who deal with all departments across the Club and external customers and stakeholders.
As the HR Officer, you will work full time, 37.5 hours over five days (typically Monday to Friday, though some occasional weekend and evening work may be required).

**Key Responsibilities**:
- Administering associated paperwork for new starters, leavers and employment changes throughout the year, including drafting contracts/offer letters and calculating holiday/lieu accrual
- Assisting with the monthly and four-weekly pay runs
- Checking departmental weekly timesheets and liaising with the Finance department as required
- Conducting new starter meetings and exit interviews
- Coordinating Employee Relations processes, including disciplinary, capability and grievance procedures
- Minute taking
- Reporting on sickness absence and holiday use throughout the year, flagging any concerns as appropriate
- Carrying out DBS checks and reviewing identification documents
- Assisting on ad hoc projects when required, e.g. collating data for the annual benefit renewals
**Required Experience**:
- Previous HR experience
- Flexibility to working, as some weekends/evenings may be required
- Ability to multitask with accuracy across a number of concurrent duties and projects
- Experience of IT packages including Microsoft Office, Teams and bespoke systems
- Experience with Cascade, Focus and Docusign are advantageous
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
- Knowledge of different casual worker agreements and employment contract types
- Strong knowledge of Right to Work in the UK evidence
- Experience of coordinating ER processes, including disciplinary, capability and grievance procedures
- Experience with data reporting
- CIPD qualification (up to Level 5) desired
- Experience of carrying out DBS checks desired
